A boiler stove is a step up from the traditional wood burning stove and offers the facility to power your hot water and heating. This is achieved by heating water through a component integrated into the stove. This is traditionally located at the rear of the stove and consists of a metal box filled with water, and fittings to allow the connection of water pipes.
Hot Water
To power your hot water with a boiler stove, the boiler stove must be used in conjunction with a hot water tank. The boiler will heat the water in the tank, where it is stored ready for use. The integration of these systems varies between stoves and depends on the existing system that it is being attached to. It is recommended that manufacturer's advice is taken before installation.
Central Heating
A boiler stove can be used to power your central heating. This can be either traditional radiators or in more modern applications under floor heating. The integration of these systems varies between stoves and depends on the existing heating system that it is being attached to. It is recommended that manufacturer's advice is taken before installation.
Hot Water & Central Heating
A number of boiler stoves can be used to power both hot water and central heating.
